Supporting the Charleston Workforce
Charleston's economy spans hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, military, technology, and port logistics. Employees across every sector experience health challenges — chronic disease, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders — that affect productivity, absenteeism, and workplace safety. Hope Health Network provides a coordinated healthcare resource that employers and employee assistance programs can rely on for timely, comprehensive care.
EAP Continuation Care
Hope Behavioral Medicine provides seamless continuation when EAP sessions end. Most employee assistance programs cover three to six counseling sessions. When those sessions conclude, employees often lose momentum — the therapeutic relationship ends and they are left to find a new provider on their own. We bridge that gap. Your employee transitions from EAP to ongoing psychiatric medication management or counseling at Hope Behavioral Medicine with no interruption in care. We coordinate with the EAP provider for continuity of treatment goals.
Return-to-Work Coordination
Employees returning from leave related to substance use treatment or medical conditions need coordinated clearance. Hope Addiction Medicine and Hope Medical Associates communicate directly with HR departments and occupational health teams (with employee authorization) to facilitate safe, timely return to work. We provide clinical documentation that meets employer requirements while protecting employee privacy.
DOT/SAP Services
For employers subject to Department of Transportation regulations, our providers serve as Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) for employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements. Services include SAP evaluation, treatment recommendations, return-to-duty testing coordination, and follow-up testing plans — all in compliance with 49 CFR Part 40.
Workplace Wellness
We offer educational partnerships — brief provider-led presentations on topics such as managing stress, recognizing signs of burnout, understanding when to seek medical help, and reducing stigma around mental health care. Available in-person at your workplace or via video for distributed teams. These sessions are informational, not clinical — no employee health information is collected.
