CHARLESTON, SC — March 15, 2026 — Hope Health Network announced today that Hope Behavioral Medicine, its specialized behavioral health practice, has expanded to serve patients statewide through HIPAA-compliant telehealth visits. The expansion means that South Carolina residents in all 46 counties can now access board-certified psychiatric medication management and licensed counseling from their home.
"Access to psychiatric care is severely limited in many parts of South Carolina," said a Hope Behavioral Medicine spokesperson. "Wait times for a new psychiatric evaluation can stretch to two or three months outside of Charleston. Our telehealth expansion lowers that barrier — new patients are often able to be scheduled within a week of requesting an appointment, regardless of where they live in the state."
Hope Behavioral Medicine provides medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and insomnia, as well as individual counseling. The practice accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and South Carolina Medicaid. Telehealth visits are conducted via secure video and are covered by most insurance plans at the same rate as in-person visits.
The practice initially targets 20 cities across South Carolina, including Columbia, Greenville, Rock Hill, Spartanburg, and Myrtle Beach, with city-specific resources available on the Hope Behavioral Medicine website.
