Sublocade is a once-monthly subcutaneous injection that provides steady buprenorphine levels for 30 days, eliminating the need for daily Suboxone dosing.

The expanded program increases capacity to serve more patients transitioning from daily buprenorphine to monthly Sublocade injection. Medicaid covers Sublocade in South Carolina, and most commercial insurance plans provide coverage as well. Indivior, the manufacturer, offers a patient assistance program for uninsured patients.
